BANS Review Part I: Overview
Build a Niche Store (BANS) gives users the ability to set up a niche store on a variety of subjects. To get the full picture of what BANS will do, I downloaded it the other day. Today, I finally got around to working with it.
The cool thing about BANS is that it is so easy to use. Seriously, in a few minutes I was in and downloading it. The developers set the download up through Clickbank. So, ti is a REALLY quick transaction and download.
I have quite a bit of legal experience but also in programming and running scripts like this. So, I was up really quick. But, even if you are a pure novice, you can be up extremely quickly – no problem. The files site come with 2 manuals, a user manual and an installation manual. Like I said, even if you are a pure novice this is ultra-simple to use.
Many times, when you buy a Clickbank product, you find that the support and help are not there. But, that is not the case with BANS. I really like the community feel of this product. It is clear that they have outstanding support and an engaged member community. It is definitely more of a “product” than a simple e-book. I was particularly amazed with the extent of the visitor engagement. Seriously, thousands of people are clearly using this site and the software.
The User manual is fantastic. I think that it hits well on many different skill and experience levels. I am already an eBay affiliate. So, I went ahead and proceeded to install it.
I decided to set up a site at compareallcomputers.com. This is a domain that I have owned for some time. But, I haven’t done very much with it. I figured that this would be a good site for this. With the ebay affiliate program, you get paid, based on a % of the high bid. So, naturally, you are better off with a high-end item like a computer.
Downside: Don’t be fooled that you can just buy a domain, install the site, pick a niche, and start drriving a tremendous amount of traffic. That simply will not work. You have to have content. I would recommend that you use Elance.com or Guru.com to create introductory articles for each product category page. And, you must have enough content on these pages so that you are not showing duplicate content. That is what will make BANS work.
So, I installed it there. Make sure to check out Part II of this review, where I actually review the installation process on CompareAllComputers.com and discuss how it is set up.
